Su Brown, CPA

Su Brown has been licensed to practice in Idaho since 1981. She formed Su Brown and Associates, PLLC, in April, 1996.

Su started her professional accounting career in 1979 after graduating from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She worked twelve years in public accounting prior to her experiences with the world of private accounting.

Su has extensive experience in tax services, financial statement compilation and review services, and financial consulting. She has experience in dealing with a broad range of industries including real estate; wholesale distributors; retailers; construction contractors; medical, dental, and law practices; independent security brokers; non-profit organizations; internet service providers; computer consultants; and other service industries. She also provides extensive tax accounting services, business planning, litigation support and management services.

Professional affiliations include membership with Idaho Society of CPAs (ISCPA), the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), and the North Idaho Chapter of CPAs.

In May, 2011, Su was awarded the “2011 Idaho Financial Services Champion of the Year” by the Boise District Office of the Small Business Administration. Other community involvement includes affiliations with the Valley Boys and Girls Clubs, Inc. (past director), Opportunities Unlimited, Inc. (past director), Lewis Clark Economic Development Corporation (past director), Lewiston Chamber of Commerce (past director and past president), LCSC Business Advisory Board (past member). She is currently chairman of the Lewiston Planning and Zoning Commission. She also provides tax seminar presentations for local companies and community organizations.
